We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate, with a minimum 2.1 Hons degree in a technical subject with a hands-on and can-do attitude to develop, manage, and run an extrusion line, as well as develop wider Production Management skills. We will also welcome applications from candidates who fall outside of our graduate programme. These candidates will have a background in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering. Preferably with extrusion experience but not essential, as training will be provided. With training the right candidate will be able to become our next team leader: Duties to include: Assistant to the Production Manager Manage production in the absence of the Production Manager Setup/operation/shutdown of the PVC extrusion line and peripheral machinery Coordinating with the Maintenance Engineer during problem-solving, breakdowns, and improvement efforts Identify faults and carry out basic maintenance activities Requirements: Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship Experience of working in a production environment is preferred but not essential Have an aptitude for technical work and a good understanding of the extrusion process, although full training will be provided Ability to be flexible and work without supervision Competent in problem solving, planning, and decision making with the ability to work under pressure, in a quality and results-driven environment Positive approach with a continuous improvement mindset Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in both verbal and written forms Hear from some of our current Graduates: Being a graduate at Dunster House is really unique and rewarding.
